I can't pull the id3 info from mp3 files using the music database. attached is the configuration.log . it's been doing this since 1.1 beta (haven't used MP in months before that, sorry).

"2009-10-05 18:42:05.304600 [Info.][Config Main]: Musicdatabasereorg: Unhandled error Length cannot be less than zero."

Helmut already fixed this bug (mantis 2497)

Hi RTV,

I am using Vista Ultimate 32 sp2, and have reinstalled MP several times using the uninstaller's remove all option. This seems to clear out all traces of MP unless I have missed something. I still have this error message even when trying Hirscho's advice to delete mediaportal.xml & do a complete reconfigure. Mediaportal 1.1.0 Beta works fine, but the last 2 svn's give me this fullscreen gui error for video & tv.

I got the same problem...only, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate

Please try this:
1. start configuration.exe
2. just navigate to general -> volume settings
3. make sure you've selected "Wave" and NOT "Master" volume.
4. exit configuration.exe
5. start it again
6. try the plugins section to check whether the error is gone.

Made no difference, same error. Removed my StreamedMP-skin and tried using Blue wide, same error...

Can't change channel on client.

I have tested in both this svn and in the older one and I still have the same problem when I change channel on a client.
It doesn't work at all, all I get is a lot of

LiveTV Freeze

Hi all

after updating to this svn I have the same problem with LiveTV freeze.
I have read that this ist since this ?livemedia555? something integration.

I wantet to help and made some tests:

- delete all logs
- start TVService
- start mediaportal
- after some time LiveTV freeze (3 times)
- collected logs an here they are

perhabs you can see something.

what I found:

the MpTvDb has some inconsistent entries.
after a "DBCC CHECKDB" I get some errors.

also attached as zipfile.
TVServer stops and restarts again (configured in Services.msc)

would like to setup a new database but can't remember how to ;-)


hope some dev can see something...
