Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC3, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

Just updated my HTPC with the RC3 and this SVN tonight... I'm still having the ptoblem that I get no video and but ausio plays when playing DVDs. I was trying to play a dvd from a image file, but I guess the problem is there even if I play the dvd itself since that's what it was doing in the earlier build that I had on my pc... It would be nice if you guys could look at this issue and fix it in the next SVN...

Do you have .ifo and .iso extensions added to the Movies part of the configuration?

I don't know, never checked that... But the thing is that the DVD starts fine I can see the first "Chapter", but when it starts showing the previews of other movies, I loose the image. If I stop it, then start it again, it asks me if I want to continue from where I stoped, I answer yes, then I can see the image, but when it switches to another preview, I loose the image again, only get the sound...

I'm using the ffdshow codec and I tried other codec and I always get the same thing... Works fine under PowerDVD. I will try to get the logs tonight... I'm at work right now.

MP hang after TV channel change

MP hang on my system if I try to change a HD TV channel to non HD TV channel.

I just noticed am issue don't know if its been there before (i mean last svn):
If I mark a Show for notification, without recording, usually a pop up appeared, that told me that the marked show is about to start soon.
Now, MP starts a recording, even though it was not planned as recording.
