Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC3, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

Anyone else having problems with "various artist" albums not being labelled as various artists? This was ok a few SVNs ago. Mine get labelled with the artist of the last track in the album.....

Just rolled back to 16322 and it works fine. So problem is in an SVN after that.....

Video playback only get worse

Now the video player have more problems with the overlay, when you start you sometimes see mediaplayer and sometimes not. When the movie begins you lost all contact with media portal and can do nothing. Then you check task manager and there you see that media portal has stop responding. Only way to stop is to kill mp.

Next problem is that the digital sound is still not working, when choosing power dvd 7 codec it works outside mp but inside only 2 chanels, and wehn you check in the configuration it has chaned back from spdif to 2 chanel.
This hasent workd since upgraded to RC3

RC2 worked better on all parts, it sad to say that but its true. Hope to get an working solutions soon.
My girlfriend has reboted my machine 3 times today because of totaly lost screen when looking at tv.

Keep up the gr8t work, this is the best media center but it must be more stable!

I've stopped using PowerDVD 7 codec, but to get the surround to work you need to edit your registry. I have no idea if it's MediaPortal or the codec that is messy, but the only way to get it to stick with spdif is by setting it manually in the registry.

One more thing !

I know, that i can sett the audio settings in registry for powerdvd but when i reboot it will change back widh the latest svn's of mp.

I have one more thig i forgot yesterday, still when you use fast forward in dvd and video playback the picture is not moving only when using jump in time it works. What happend? Its, something with the video playback.
