MediaPortal with Satellite (1 Viewer)

I have been using Windows Media Center for my HTPC but decided to try something new when I seen a few screenshots of this product.

I have installed MediaPortal on my HTPC after doing a fresh install of windows 7. I am trying to get this to work with my DishNetwork STB and HDPVR but having very little luck getting the software to find channels. I have not found a option to scan for satellite channels. I am only able to see the ability to scan for Antenna and Cable when looking into my HD PVR Crossbar options. I have found a few sites with pictures of people being able to auto tune through a tab, I cannot seem to find this tab.

Also the TVserver used to say HTPC (my computer name) but now is it refereed to by an ipaddress. Could this be the problem?

any help to get over this hump would be greatly appreciated.

After tinkering with settings for about a hour. I got about 1 second of tv to pass through then mediaportal would continuously lock up. I still have not got the application to realize it is hooked up to to a satellite.

Is there a good guide about getting mediaportal setup using a satellite?

Also I downloaded the Netflix plug in and ran the exe, I setup my credentials in the tool during the setup. I though I had everything setup but the plugin is not showing up in media portal.

My dbv is stuck in DBV-IP how can i get it to register as a DBV-S?
