So , this rework merge the splitter needed for OnlineVidéo for play available on internet, and can be used on TVserver side for have better support of internet stream for TV server.

Are you sure, this filter are not already installed on your system ?

Ps ; can you edit your system spec, for know what you use as htpc?

I have just filled my system (server) specs.
I use MediaPortal TV Server 1.12 + Kodi 16 BETA2 with MediaPortal PVR Client 1.11.6

Here is what I can see :

Before manually installing the IPTV plugin that you can see under "Plugins", I already had DbvIP card avaible under "TV Servers" so maybe they are both the same?

this filter, are not available from this screen,
on this screen you display all your card devices,
and you can see IPTV source filter, but this one is generic card for MP, after that MP use filter (few filter are already include inside MP setup, but not the latest from georgius)
So, i see you have MediaPortal IPTV filter plugin enabled.

original feature out of box
IPTV card > IPTV filter "Out of box" -> stream

with this filter
IPTV card -> IPTV Filter "georgius work" > stream

but enable the plugin or not, is the same way, because ( but i'm not sure for this one), the Georgius filter overwrite the existing one

So what is the exact usage of the plugin? For now, I did load in it my playlist.m3u then I can change some options like "cache folder", then I can save the list and then open this list in the "TV Servers" and launch a scan?

TV service plugin is doing nothing. It is not necessary to have this plugin. With this plugin is it easier to modify m3u scan playlists or modify TV server database in order to work with MediaPortal IPTV filter and url source splitter. In general filter works without additional configuration, but sometimes it is better when you tweak some settings.

If you don't experience problems with filter, then TV server plugin is not necessary to have enabled.

Hi all,
I've tried to connect to a RSTP stream that needs username/password authentication using such a URI:

rtsp://guest:guest123@10.0.0.118:554/11

While this work perfect in VLC there is no way to use this using the MP DVBIP with this plugin.
The results are constant exceptions in TVServerError.log and "RTSP/1.0 401 Unauthorized" response in MPIPTVSource.log

Q: Is this plugin not capable of authenticating using username/password

Authentication is not supported. I hope that I find some time through Christams to look on it.

...but for now it's supported with the standard IPTV filter, right?

LIVE555 library supports authentication, so it should be working.
