I'm using the MCE Replacement Plugin with the replacement driver. On its own, with Message Mode switched off and HIP not running, the remote control works just fine everywhere within Media Portal.
However, when I have HIP running (with the configuration provided with the MCE Replacement Plugin loaded) and Message Mode enabled, I run into trouble. The remote works fine as long as I'm at the home menu, browsing through pictures or even watching films, but as soon as I turn live TV on, it stops working. I get no response whichever key I press on the remote control. I also notice that the HIP icon, which usually turns red when I press a button on the remote control, doesn't react.
If I use the mouse to stop live TV, the remote still doesn't start working again. I have to restart Media Portal to get it back working. It doesn't matter if I run Media Portal in full screen or windowed mode.
It can't be a pure HIP issue because if I disable the MCE Replacement Plugin altogether, starting live TV in Media Portal doesn't affect HIP (the icon still reacts when keys are pressed on the remote control).
Has anyone else experienced this? Know of a solution?
