It makes your TV almost interactive. You can play the quizshows on tv at home. It is the next generation Teletext, you always informations in a better quality. For example for the olympic games german television had always an informationservice about the medals and the results of all events.

If I can use this for results of superbike events, I NEED THIS!

Hehe, eagle :)

I think you only need these colored buttons.

Exactly that's the problem. I use a Pinnacle remotecontrol and there are no coloured buttons on it

What happended with it?

It seemed a really nice project and now it seems completely forgotten.

By now we've got digital video and audio, but this point is the one that makes DVB-T more interesting.

In other programs they have added plugins that allow you to grab the mhp data to the HD, but they have no embebed mhp processor (it's needed tools such as mhp4free and others).

I wonder if MP is really interested on this feature or they just have left it (that would be a shame).

This doesn't have to deal with MHP, but please, try to support AIRSTAR 2 PCI, I can tell there're lots of people in Spain (and in many other contries) who have this card, and it's not supported yet.... (is it obvious that I have one??..... :D )

Well, please, don't forget it, it's part of DTT.

There is this partial, but open mhp implementation called OpenMHP. The website http://www.openmhp.org is at least momentarily redirected to the faculty website, but if the effort is still going the java stack could be starting point for adding mhp support for Media Portal.

MHP is dead

Hi!

Basically, MHP is dead. Even countries with high DVB penetration (Finland and Sweden) are not using it. Hardware is expensive and buggy, and the whole thing just sux badly - it is slow, ugly, and, more important - unusable.

OpenMHP is just "another" university project and is as dead, as the rest of MHP.

Somebody mentioned ICT. He-he-he :D - he just forgot to ask how much the stack costs (cannot say the number - NDA matter, but it had some hefty amount of zeros).

Regards
