Hi,

I installed MP 1.0 yesterday (previously I had MP 1.0 RC4) and I now have the following problem:

When pressing "more" during movie (xvid), the majority of the buttons do not work anymore after returning to the menu.

I have to close MP and restart it again, then everything works again.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a new bug since 1.0?

Thanks.

Someone else has a similar problem, which codec are you using to play this filetype, think the other post used divx codec.

Use graphstudio to check this out, run MP in windowed mode, run graphstudio.exe and connect to remote graph.

I'm using ffdshow for xvid and CoreAvc for mkv's.
The strange thing is, this did not happen with MP 1.0 RC4....

No, thats what you do not want to do :), this is in ffdshows config, so the chances are if you have not touched, then would not be enabled, which is good.

Now back to remote, what make is it and what software is being used, ie it is showing in device manager as ehome receiver, so uses mce remote default settings, only asking as there is no "more" button on mce remote only "info"

Ah, it must be "info" then, sorry. And yes, it shows eHome receiver.

However, I do believe it only happens when playing a MKV file.

I configured the codecs a bit strange, because I want subtitles when playing MKV's.
The way I configured it is:
    - install CoreAVC
    - In MP configuration: x.264: ffdshow
    - In ffdsho video config: disable h.264 decoding
    - Haali media splitter: autoload VS filter yes
    - In ffdshow (codecs) change Raw Video at the bottom of the list to All Supported.

Haali media splitter: autoload VS filter yes

Does it make a difference if disabled, not sure how CoreAVC copes with subtitles, but if you use ffdshow for the file with its own subtitle support enabled, does it work correctly with remote then.

    I found it!

The reason of the non-functioning remote was the setup I used for FFDSHOW+COREAVC:
    - install CoreAVC
    - In MP configuration: x.264: ffdshow
    - In ffdsho video config: disable h.264 decoding
    - Haali media splitter: autoload VS filter yes
    - In ffdshow (codecs) change Raw Video at the bottom of the list to All Supported.

When I put x.264 on CoreAvc in mediaportal configuration, everything works fine again.
However, in this setup the external subs do not work with MKV files.

    So I did the following:
    - Install DirectVobSub
    - In MP configuration: x.264: CoreAvc
    - In MP configuration: video post processing: DirectVobsub (not the autoloading one)
    - Haali media splitter: autoload VS filter NO

And voila: subs work with MKV.

    Thanks for your help.
