Hi all

I've got my movies stored on my PC at the moment but will be migrating to a new NAS in the coming days. I will keep the share names the same but it's likely the full UNC path to the NAS will be different. Is there a way I can update the DB without having to rescan my ~600 movies from scratch?

    Hi all

Add the new location as an import path in MovingPictures config. Close MovPic config. Move all the files over to the new location. Start MovPic config, switch to the "Movie Manager" tab, and sit back. It will take a bit for MovPic to now scan your entire collection to detect the location has changed to the new import path and it will update all your movies.

You can click on movies in your collection and switch to "File Info" view on the drop down box, to see the paths being updated.

There might be other ways, but I've personally found the above method to be the one with the least amount of issues.

Once all is done, you can then remove the old import path.

To trying to solve a problema with network map drives I need to change the actual x:\cine (that really maps to \\server\Cine) to UNC "\\server\cine".

I can add the new UNC path, but movies are really in the same location, so will movinpictures notice that the change of path is made and later delete de x:\cine path or , how can I change that without reprocees all movies?
