Migration path from version 1 to TVServer? (1 Viewer)

I have been using MediaPortal 1 for quite some time and have tried to migrate to the client-server version in the past and had problems getting my ATI Elite tuner card to be recognized and another problem with general Wife Approval Factor because it did not act like the original version.

Are these still issues and if not, is there a migration path?

Still think you would have issues the the ATI card, pretty sure it's software based, so TVServer would not like it, could be wrong, just do not remember seeing that card around on the forum as working.

I have an external Angel USB box (external,not internal card) and could not get it to work with MCE or MP. It did not work with ATI Catalyst and Diamond Tuner or Snappy Soft. I would need someone to help me install MP. Can't get it to setup for a Composite Video connection. Also I am coming from a satellite box. MP really seems complicated and I know computers but not a geek. Could someone help me. I would prefer MCE and I have SP3. Does SP3 include Rollup 2. Oh on MP I uninstalled TV Server which seemed like the right thing to do. Thanks

Actually the ATI 550 is 100% hardware based. As far as I know, it is the only tuner card ISF certified. From every review I have read, it is considered the best tuner chip on the market.
