regarding to your sig i would assume that it's the DVD_menu button on your MCE remote. it's also the yellow button but as far as i understand those are not available on the US version

edit: the MCE remote is fully configurable as of now (SVN) so it wouldn't be a problem anyway

Here in Australia we have a payTV service called Foxtel Digital. It has a really attractive/easy to use interface. This is how it works:

You press the TV Guide button, a menu comes up with Genres of the channels. If you go into Entertainment you'll find channels like FOX8. If you go into Kids, you'll find channels like CartoonNetwork.

The miniguide in foxtel is by far the best feature IMO. When you're watching the TV and press the UP/DOWN button, it shows what's on/next on the current channel (Just like Mediaportal). But when you press the information button, it will show the information about those shows.

If Mediaportal used this type of interface, it would become much more attractive and much easier to use!

MediaPortal will show you the information about the show you're watching, too.
Just hit the i(info) button on MCE remote or Y while watching Live TV in Fullscreen.

But maybe you can post a screenshot of your foxtel OSD?
