minimum spec media center PC for use with media portal (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Ive spent a load of time trying to reserrect some old pcs to use a media center unfortuantely the machines I have been trying to use just dont cut it.

Can someone tell me what the minimum spec PC i should be looking to use as a media center to use with Media Portal

i.e. what processor and what video card I would need to enable me to run Media Portal as weel as being able to watch DIVX movies with no slowdown.

I have been looking at a P4 2GHZ but am not sure what amount of video ram would be best.... any suggestions ?

Any DX9-capable graphic card (preferably with 128 MB) for general usage. For HD material it all depends. When it comes to TV you should be fine, as long as you are not using analogue TV-cards with only software encoding capabilities.
