missing DVB-T (1 Viewer)

Hello, I just installed MediaPortal 1.1.3.0 to run my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 hybrid card. The OS is XP Professional SP3. When I go to the MP config page, it shows me the analog and ATSC channels on the tuner, but no DVB-T. The only DVB it shows me is DVB-IP. I did run the DVB hotfix when installing MP, and I know that the QAM tuner works because it works with Hauppauge's WinTV 7. The scan of the analog channels seems to have worked properly. Any suggestions?

My understanding is that the HVR 1250 only supports ATSC, clear QAM and analog. It is designed to be used in North America where ATSC is used instead of DVB-T. The HVR 1200 is the equivalent of the HVR 1250 for the parts of the world that have DVB-T instead of ATSC - it supports DVB-T and analog...

Thanks for the prompt response, MM1352000. And thanks for correcting my misstatement. What I meant to say was that the MP config doesn't seem to see any of the clear QAM digital channels available through my cable service. I Know they are there, but MP doesn't seem to recognize the QAM tuner. Other suggestions?

Ahhh, understood.

So you've done *full* scans with each of the QAM standards and the "tune QAM instead of ATSC" option ticked?

I suspect that the Hauppauge software that you have installed may be preventing TV Server/MP from using the tuner, but I'd need to confirm that with logs. Please follow the instructions in the link in my signature to generate logs. It is *really* simple:

1. Find the MediaPortal program folder in your start menu and open MP with the "debug mode" shortcut.
2. Use the 3rd option to export all logs. That will create a zip file of all the information I need and put it on your desktop.
3. Post back here with the zip file as an attachment.
