Hi all,

I've got a strange problem with videos:

I can play the a movie file if I link it to a movie folder. Following output in the mp.log file:

2009-06-16 14:36:25.234375 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: inspecting media : \\192.168.2.16\serienarchiv\BattlestarGalactica\battlestar.galactica.414.hdtv-0tv_IRFree.avi

2009-06-16 14:36:25.234375 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: VideoCodec : xvid
2009-06-16 14:36:25.234375 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: IsXVID: True

2009-06-16 14:36:25.250000 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: Audiorate : 48000
2009-06-16 14:36:25.250000 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: AspectRatio : 16/9
2009-06-16 14:36:25.250000 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: AudioCodec : mpeg-1 audio layer 3
2009-06-16 14:36:25.250000 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: IsMP3 : True

Then I try to play the same file with MySeries-Plugin and it doesn't work. I get the pop-up "unable to play: audio codec".

In the mp.log file following entries occurs:

2009-06-16 14:40:53.703125 [Info.][MPMain]: MediaInfoWrapper.MediaInfoWrapper: inspecting media : \\Htpc\SerienArchiv\BattlestarGalactica\battlestar.galactica.414.hdtv-0tv_IRFree.avi

So it seems that not all the infos from the movie file could be read?

I have no codec installed. I know I have to (and I tried it before): no other result. But I think the main question is why do I get different outputs in the log-file for the same media file? Has anybody an explaination?

A second thing: I try to play the file from a client pc. If i try to play the file with tvseries from the server, then it works. In the logfile are all the relevant informations like in the first log-file example.

I have no idea what to do :-(

TIA
Heintje
