Yes, this definitely makes sense for unknown artists with no Fanart pictures. But the Various pictures are also shown for known artists on sampler CDs, where Fanart pictures exist.

In my opinion, if Fanart pictures for the Artist in the ID3 field exist, the should be preferred before the Various pictures.
In my case, only the generic pictures get displayed, not a combination of both (Generic and Artist).

The plugin does not read tags, it receives information from the Media Portal, and so it is designed from the very beginning. If my memory does not fail me, then there are many places to rewrite in order to do as you want. But then there will be claims from other users. It is very difficult to do universally and for everyone to be comfortable. Moreover, this part works for all music plugins and all radio plugins.

There is some kind of button, I don’t remember what it’s called and where it is, but I remember exactly what it was. Turns off the picture from display.
