Ongoing Mixed workstation and htpc (1 Viewer)

I get that error occasionally in Photoshop on my desktop (non-htpc) with a dual monitor setup. I never used to get the errors when I had one desktop. This happened with previously with an Nvidia 5700 and now with a 7600GT.

I *think* that some programs have a certain amount of transparency use (via hardware) which forces it to use DX9 even though the program isnt one you would normally associate with using DX9.

Whenever this would happen I have trouble dragging windows and issues with which window is in focus, but everything else seems to work OK. A restart of the application (photoshop in this case) or sometimes of the computer will solve the problem.

I know that error, is a menssage displayed by nview. I get ride of it disabling the 'use transparecy while dragging' option at the nview manager (I'm not sure how the option is called in english). But is probably a bug of nvidia drivers (nvidia have never made a high cuality drivers, they have lots of small bugs).

So I wonder if that will fix druid9's problem?

Can't test until tonight - will report back, but when I get that error, it sems like stuff goes screwy, for example click on buttons and nothing happens, programs don't seem to work etc. (This is not in in MP but on the PC desktop). Anyhow, I have some thoughts, and will do some testing this evening to see what goes on

Went back to jack electronics script - couple of reboots, now I am typing this with MP running happily on the second monitor. The Sims runs OK in a window. Testing for other games to come, but Firefox browser, microsoft word, excel are running happily on the main PC. Will try huma2000 script in a minute and see what happens, but can not think of any reason why it wouldn't work. I did update to latest SVN, and have disabled a couple of plugins. More reports as they come to hand.

My script and jack electronics are almost the same, only added two lines to control the resolution and to auto turn on and of the monitors, check this lines, maybe thery aren't correct for your computer. Anyway Ii've just update my script with dsome changes, check it

Went back to your scrip and all seems well, no idea what went off the rails the other morning.

Have managed to get another couple of games running, but it seems to be that each game has its own method of specifying run in a window or not.

Other apps are working fine in my current setup, will try your new script and see how I go.

Tha aim here is to make this all as seamless as possible so as to maximise the WAP

About the games the method to run it into a windows depend of the game makers, and is posible that some games cannot work in windows mode, I'll take a look after my exams, atm I'm too busy studying, so I haven't got engouth time to work on my mp.

Atm i'm making thest on windows vista... but I get a new bug... when I click outside the mp windows it minimize... any work around?

Founded the option to set the audio output for music, maybe it also work for gui and radio sound
