Hi,

I'm new to the forum and using the software, so firstly I'd like to say this software is really good, so thanks to all the people that coded it. I've been looking for a piece of free-ware software like this for some time.

Right, now to the little issue I'm having.

I currently have a lot of .MKV films and currently I can't get any of them to play via the Media Portal software.
I've tried amending the codec in the settings but I still can't play them.
Does anyone know of any add-ons that I could install to allow .MKV playback?

Try installing a splitter like Haali Media splitter or LAVF splitter.
