Hi folks,

since quite some time it is now possible to use mobiles as HID divices. This works great as long as you have a tv/monitor to see what you are doing.

But usually these applications don't provide visual feedback on the phone. Vectir solves this problem. It comes with profiles for various applications like winamp, wmp, and so on.
The software provides skins for each profile, key mapping for each profile and, the most important part: It streams info to the mobile, like: artist, track title, current playtime, etc.

-> It connects via bluetooth or wlan (depending on the phone)
-> It supports touch-screens

I'm using it now for half a year. I've created a simple profile, for MP, which works quite well. But in order to provide feedback to the client (mobile phone) coding work has to be done.

Imaging browsing through your audiogallery (with covers) on the mobile, selecting an album you want to listen too and add it to the playlist.

Display current weather information on the phone...

And, and, and :)

I'v started a thread in the Vectir forums to see if I can get some information on 'how to'

I've added some 'screenshots' of my thoughts ....
