[mod] "DarkBlue3", "DarkBlue3Wide", "Black3Wide" (1 Viewer)

Hi,

thank you for the great new skin Blue 3! I really like it.

But it was a bit to bright for me. So I modified the background color a bit.

Maybe someone else likes this too

Instructions:
1) Do a COPY
- of the "Blue3" folder as "DarkBlue3"
- of the "Blue3wide" folder as "DarkBlue3Wide"
- of the "Blue3wide" folder as "Black3Wide"
2) extract the corresponding zip's to "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\"
3) delete cached skin from
- "C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache" (Vista)
or
- "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache" (XP)
4) run MP

- update 27.10.2008:

Now there are 3 different versions, one 4:3 and two widescreen

Keep in mind, I only changed some images. I didn't change any of the skin files themselves. Your are able to update the skin copys by simply copying the original ones and unzip the images once more.

I think I'm blind, I can see any cached skin in the Media folder, and there doesnt seem to be a "cache" folder like there used to be in previous releases ?

sorry, I did a "copy and paste" mistake. Of course the cache folder can be found under "Documents and Settings,All Users..." (se corrected post above)

Thanks a lot. The bright blue is great for the living room but it's just way too bright for my tastes in the bedroom at night. This is dark enough so that I'm not blinded everytime I go back to the menu after watching something.

Yes!!! Very Nice. But I'm bee very happy if you made Blue3-Dark for 16:10 Displays.

I really like the darker look as well.
However, I also like the lighter (default) look so took a different approach on using your mod.
Copied the Blue3 skin to Blue3-Dark and made my adjustments there.
