This is a feature request to the makers of the Directvtune plugin. Since the Zap2it service is going offline in September, it would be nice to be able to map our remotes to use more of the directv controller functions (Ex. when using a Hauppage IR Remote and pressing "Guide", using the default Directv guide instead of MP built-in). This would solve some of the U.S. EPG problems (at least in the short term)...

but there is quite a noticeable lag between input and response, for me at least, that would make the idea somewhat of a henderence

I disagree-it would certainly solve the short term (and possibly long-term) problem for US customers accessing the guide. If this function were added with a free-form record (in other words, recording based on the system clock) it would provide more freedom for the user to record programs

I suppose, I just got used to using the zap2it plugin...To be honest, I still haven't figured out how to "un-use" it and use some other tv guide download for my schedules
