Movie takes very long time to start (1 Viewer)

Hi,I'm new here so sorry if this is a dumb question. I have a collection of dvd ripps in ts_video folders on a wd external drive. When I click on a movie in the movie section it takes as long as 4 minutes to do anything. The ui locks up and it appears to be hung but then eventually the movie menu comes up. I look at the task manager and it shown no traffic on the network, cpu is at 10-15% memory use is very low. Just not sure what it's doing. Perhaps something on the gpu but I don't know how to monitor that. I have a brand new mac mini i5 running windows 7 pro. So it has the intel hd 4000 graphics card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please install the movie player application to be able to watch the movie live.

your issue seems related to mediainfo, other users reported than files can be very long to be opened for playing.
please look/search on forum related thread, member provided old binary for mediainfo and seems work. but we don't know where issue is ... from internal testing.
