I've noticed that while watching a movie, occasionally the video will pause while the audio keeps going. After a couple of seconds, the video will run rapidly until it catches up with the audio.
It's happened on an SD xvid & also with an HD mkv video. I'm using MP's player & PureVideo 1.02.223 decoder.
I have a feeling that it's a problem with the on-board video of my mobo. Should I be looking for a video card, or may it be the drivers for the on-board video? The current driver I have is 82.05. I was looking at either an Asus EN8600GT SILENT/HTDP/256M for $150 CAD or a BFG GF 8600GT OC 256MB GDDR3 for $179 CAD, but if possible, I'd rather not spend any money.
