Hi,

Yesterday I updated my Titan skin and installed the trailers plugin so i could watch locally stored movie trailers within MP moving pictures. Everything worked fine. I watched a load of tv series last night and suddenly my computer screen went blank and froze up. I reset the PC and everything fired up as expected.

This lunchtime I tried to watch a movie using the moving pictures plugin and I get a codec error saying 'mpeg version 2'. I tried to watch another movie which came up with a similar error 'codec AVC'. Seems some of my MKV files will not play within moving pictures. The strange thing is my client also has the same issues but is running its own set of LAV and moving pictures plugins.

I re installed windows and did a full install of MP...still a problem...tried updating everything...still problems...re ripped a movie in MKV remux to see if I had corrupted the movie file...same problem. I've tried switching codecs from LAV to Microsoft...still a problem. Avi files play fine, seems some MKV files within MP tv series play without a problem either.

I can't work out why everything was running perfectly for a few weeks and now I'm having problems. Has MP, LAV, moving pictures plugin been updated? I need some help with suggestions of what to do next.[DOUBLEPOST=1384805514][/DOUBLEPOST]I just did a quick test and moved a movie file that would not play within moving pictures plugin and popped it into MP TV series to see what would happen...it still does not work.

Exactly the same problems on my client. I have done no installing / modifying of anything on the client. It was all setup running perfectly 2 nights ago. Today though it won't play certain movie files. I've tried testing this with more than 1 MKV file and get the same results. I also run different graphics cards and drivers on the client / tv server so don't think a windows update has caused this.
