Movies won't play from Mediaportal1 (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm running mediaportal 1 on an HTPC with windows 7. I have 2 x 2TB disks connected via usb containing MP3 movies. When I only had a couple of hundred movies I had no problems but I now have over 500 movies and although MP recognises the dfiles and displays them in the "Videos" database when I click them or Right click and click play they don't run and I have to go back in to windows and play direct. Is there a limit of the number of movies mediaportal can handle. I have tried using the internal player and also my preferred VLC as an external player.
I've tried deleting database and re creating it with only one of the disks with about 200 movies and no problems.
Any ideas?

So, what happens when you try to play them? Do you get an error?

Hi, nothing happens at all, MP doesn't hang up or look busy and I'm able to continue browsing the titles. I'll look at the link you gave and create and post a log so you can see what is happening in the background.
