moving pictures configuration (1 Viewer)

Hi, i am fairly new to configuring media portal though i have had it for a while now, but recently i have noticed that the last few films i have wanted to add wont appear in media portal (added in exactly the same way as always). i have gone into moving pictures configuration and the missing films appear on the left hand side (all mkv files) but when scanned, it wont come up with compatable names. (i hope the above makes sence)

Is there anything else i should be doing? as i havent changed doing anything from what i was doing before when media portal recognised my films!!

If those movies are on IMDb, then you can do a Custom Search by clicking on the 'binoculaires' icon. This pops up a windows where you can enter the IMDB Id, which you can find on the website. Empty the other fields and only use the IMDB Id. Avatar for example: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549 (IMDB Id = the bold part) and click 'OK'.

If that doesn't give you the right results, then you can manually add the movie (Custom), as explained in Moving Pictures Wiki.

Hi. Thanks for the advice. i have tried that but an error pops up saying unhandled exception has occured (see below)

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

any ideas?

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. I'd suggest (for proper help) that you fill in your System Specs and attach logs to the thread.

ok thanks. i have a mate coming round to look at it this afternoon, but if i can get it working still i will follow your advice
