Hello all,

last week I updated to MP 1.0.2.0. Today I wanted to watch a DVD movie, using Moving Pictures as always. So I chose the movie, inserted the DVD and pressed enter on the movie's icon. I could hear the DVD drive starting, but nothing else happened.

MP then stopped responding, but in the minidisplay I could see that on pressing "pause", pause was toggled. But still no playback or any other reaction. Had to clos MP with ALT+F4....:mad:

So I updated Moving Pictures too, now on v 0.7.3. Still with the same result. The files on my HDD are played OK nonetheless.

In the logs I see the follwing:

2009-05-26 18:08:41.140625 [Info.][MPMain]: GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded id:4 ex:Das Objekt mit dem Typ "MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUITextControl" kann nicht in den Typ "MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIButtonControl" konvertiert werden. bei System.RuntimeType.CheckValue(Object value, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, BindingFlags invokeAttr)
bei System.Reflection.RtFieldInfo.InternalSetValue(Object obj, Object value, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, Boolean doVisibilityCheck, Boolean doCheckConsistency)
bei System.Reflection.RtFieldInfo.InternalSetValue(Object obj, Object value, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, Boolean doVisibilityCheck)
bei System.Reflection.RtFieldInfo.SetValue(Object obj, Object value, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture)
bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnWindowLoaded() MediaPortal.Plugins.MovingPictures.MovingPicturesGUI

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I attached the logs for convenience. Thanx in advance!

cu, Marco

    Hi,
    a couple of weeks ago when i was doing some tests i've had the same issue but the reason was an incompatibility issue with PowerDVD decoders and Navigation Filter.Please try switching decoders and navigation filters a bit...and btw,have you tried with the My Videos to see if the issue is still there?

    Gotcha!

    It was a problem with the decoders. I've tested using MyVideo and had the same problem. So I changed the decoders and found a working combination at last.

    It seems that when I updated MP to 1.0.2.0 the DVD decoder config was lost. The settings were empty. So Moving Pictures had nothing to do with it...

    However, thanx for the ultrafast reply!
