Movingpictures wont scan just hangs (1 Viewer)

Ok I have MP1.0.1 and Moving Pictures 0.7.2 and when I open the config and add a drive to scan it just sits there and will not identify any of the movies. I did a complete reinstall of mediaportal to install all of the new versions of everything and this is when it started. I did this on another pc also it it works great not 1 problem just with this pc.

I attached the logs there is an error with the mediaimporter/mediascanner listed I just have no clue what it means

23-Apr-2009 13:35:42 Fatal [ MovieImporter]: Unhandled error in MediaScanner. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I updated all the media sources and still happens and I even downloaded the ziped version of the plugin without the installer and replaced the dll and it still hangs.

Please help

Edit forgot to add the built in scanner works fine its just with moving pictures

Opps sorry meant to do it in the moving pictures forum

no its a network drive same one the other pc uses also
And theres no database sharing of anykind going on either

Could someone please move this for me sorry again

Can you turn on debug logging , try again and afterwards post these logs here?

Just e I actually have 3 drives that will be added e,g,h
But just did the 1 drive for the log

And they have been the way they are now since I first starting using mediaportal and this is the first problem I have had.

ok i can reproduce so i added an issue to get it fixed.

ooops... try to name your shares with more than one character see if that works?

If not I wont be able to even use movingpictures

EDIT mapping the drives works thanks again for the help and for creating an issue for it

it was choking because the sharename was only 1 character... i've fixed it and indeed mapping solves your problem for now (or name the share with 2 characters or more) - will be included in 0.8 (or 0.7.3 depending on progress)
