Added v678 to the first page - no new features, just a change in how it works internally.

Any chance this will get wider testing within the TEAM and be included with 1.3 RC. (1.3.1 onwards ,maybe, if not)

It counts as a rework, so definitely not 1.3.0, and 1.3.1 is targeted for - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/call-for-tester-for-1-3-1-release.114566/ - which I think is more than enough for reworks for the 1.3.1 release :).

Any thoughts from other team members ?

Got no objection for current version, all videos play fine and smooth, no lockout no hiccups :). Just don't use TV so that part I can't judge :).

Have you tried it out ?

Your GPU and CPU are powerful enough not to 'need' it but even on an HD7750 it brings an extra smoothness to horizontal scrolling motion and especially text ie NEWS channels.

For those with less powerful setups it makes a monumental differance whereas the standard current version can have vsync-like problems and cause stutter.

Is it possible expand the FPS limiter to be video container specific (not codec specific as one codec can handle many containers ie LAV) at the moment it is global.

Then limits can be set for the major containers ie H264, mpeg etc in the reg.

It will be quite troublesome since the logic needs to be outside EVR presenter as renderer itself shouldn't know anytning about the video encoding. Also there shouldn't be any need for such per format basis as the format itself is not affecting the video rendering performance.

It's probably nothing to do with this but I was getting constant freezes/dropped frames whilst watching a iPlayer download yesterday and then a TV Recording.

I tried changing back EnableMMCSSforSchedulerThread to 0 and TimerThreadMmcssPriority to 0 as I had them before and restarted MP but it didn't help, which is why I say it's probably nothing to do with this and just something else weird going on which a reboot might fix. I made some logs anyway in case they show anything.
