MP 2.1.0 wil not play all my music mp3s (1 Viewer)

I have installed Media Portal 2.1.0 and Windows Media Player 10.
I have a problem when I will play my music (MP3).
Some music mp3s in Media Portal will play and some don't play.
The player goes to the next track, the bitrates of some mp3 are exactly the same 192kbps.

In the Media Portal setup can I chose between 2 players: The Bass Player and the Internal player.
When I will listen music with Windows Media Player all the mp3s will work.

are the ones that don't play DRM protected ?

0.2.2.0 is the latest stable release... would advise installing a clean verison of that and trying it again

I've got the same problem here
I don't use BASS player because it can't mix stereo to 5.1
I tried the last SVN for that on a test comp and it's OK but on the comp where mediaportal is running, i don't want to reconfigure it until the next stable version.

So i use directshow player with FFdshow configured to output 5.1 from stereo

some of my MP3 are not playing some does.

I checked them in a lot of audio players and they all play with them but not with mediaportal

is there a way to have my entire music collection playing in mediaportal ??

don't blame MP, blame the directshow filters.

If you try with BASS you'll find most probably that the files are playing.
For the ones which doesn't play, i suspect there's something wrong with either the MP3 header itself or the ID3v2 Tags.
Directshow seems to have problems for example, when ou have a large Coverart included.
backup one of the files not working in directshow and use a Tag editor to remove the id3 tags.
i'm sure it'll play then.

if this is the case, then you need to correct all your files, or use a SVN version with BASS and the ability to do upmising to 5.1
