Actually I've been using it for more than 3 years. But when I set up a new HTPC I encountered this problem: I have a BenQ LCD monitor (native resolution 1920x1200) and Samsung TV (native resolution 1920x1080) connected to my video card. The NVidia display driver is set to clone mode. When I change my desktop resolution using windows display properties or EventGhost (or any other program capable of that) to 1920x1080 the LCD-Monitor shows black stripes above and below the picture while the TV shows a screen filling picture. When switching to 1920x1200 the LCD-Monitor shows a screen filling picture while my TV blanks out (unsupported resolution). That's how it is supposed to work. I configured my remote and a button on my keyboard to switch between these modes. But MP doesn't seem to like it. Before starting MP I usually switch to 1920x1080 so I can watch it on my TV. Unfortunately MP switches it back to 1920x1200 just a second after startup. After that I usually hurry to press a button on my remote to force it back to 1920x1080. This happens again when I start a video. MP goes to 1920x1200 and I force it back to 1920x1080. (Quite funny procedure though) Why does this happen? I tried everything I could think of - from using older NVidia drivers to reinstalling MP. I had encountered the same problem on a different computer when using a 1360x768 TV and a 1280x1024 CRT monitor in clone mode. The solution was using a command line program to switch resolutions that did not just change the resolution on the fly but did also write these changes to the registry. This was with Windows XP and it worked quite well for years. Can anybody help? [/QUOTE]
