I have been using MP for a couple of weeks. I had no major problems setting up MP apart from a few little tweaks. It has all been working fine until I did something that I couldnt fix.
So I decided to rebuild the PC. This time I would document exactly what I did to get MP working the way I wanted it to.
However after completing the rebuild of the PC and setup of MP, MP crashes shortly after I start using it.
A far as I know I only did 2 things different during the process of setting up the PC.
Firstly I applied the BDA/DVB hotfix and then I installed Directx 10 from the MS website. (although when I run dxdiag it says I am still using version 9c)
I have run MP fine when connected to a small tft display when setting the system up, but when I connct it my big plasma via hdmi, MP load up fine (although seems to take longer than before) but when I run a video MP crashes. I can hear the videos audio but cant see the video itself before it crashes.
The video displays fine when I view it in media player.
I sometimes get an error about a "rasterizer" too.
Any ideas. I feel directx 10 maybe the issue but Im not certain
