I have tried different drivers. The TV card tunes and works properly with the AverTV program and when I was using MicroSoft MCE.

Appreciate any help I can get to solve problem - Thanks Colin

Are you referring to MediaPortal Setup/Configuration (using Autotune) here (rather than the MP Wizard from within MediaPortal)? If so, could you repeat the Autotune step and then post your resulting "MediaPortal.log" file as an attachement to your next post, or post it to PasteBin - that should give us a clue as to what is causing the crash.

If you are trying to use the wizard from within MediaPortal, then it is known to crash - you should use the separate MP Configuration app to tune the TV channels.

Also, I suggest you use the default BlueTwo skin and the MediaPortal supplied video and audio decoders (MPV and MPA) for this test, to eliminate some other possible causes.....:)

    Problem Solved

    :) Hi Taipan
Thanks for your quick reply, it was a BIG help and gave me the clue that I had missed. I missed the point that you could scan channels from the Setup application as it is not immediately obvious how to do it.
I did not realise that "Auto Tune" was only accessable via "Capture Card/Edit but I got there in the end.
    Many thanks :D
