1. you need to have all the req's installed (hence the "too many bugs message")
2. you need to reconfigure your database/ connection to database (hence "login failed for user sa")
3. have you installed dvbfix?
The database error derives from my backup. I had first MySql and now it installed with the one of MS. But where can I change it. I do not find any config for the database :-(
I just fixed the databse problem and updated my graphics drivers and now i can play mpeg videos. But I´m still not abl to play AVIs. The log simply says:
2008-12-30 02:59:14.796875 [ERROR][MPMain]: PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - D:\Eigene Videos\Chile\Chile 016.avi - skipping track!

Furthermore, when trying to watch TV, it says:

you need to follow the posting conventions if you want help. you're not providing enough information.
From what I can see though you have a codec issue and perhaps there's something going on with your EPG? (re input string format)
So check your codecs. It would really be more helpful though if you could follow the posting guidelines so we can see what you're trying to do and what issues MP has with your setup.
Setting up Windows XP with all necessary Libs/Drivers and installation of MediaPortal.
Its possible to watch MPEG-Files, but not AVIs. Television is´n´t possible either.
I just noticed another problem. I tried to configure the channels again due to autotune and when I tried to select the card, nothig happend... the screen did not changed. I installed the driver again, but no success. This problem didn´t occur early. When using Terratec Home Cinema, the Stick works fine.
I just "fixed" the auto-tune problem (I could not autotune the channels again). Not really a fix: I just started Terratec Cinema Home and then by accident, tried again and it worked.... strange...
Some further information: I just changed the CPU to a AMD DualCore. MediaPortal does have reduced waiting times, but TV , nor AVI / Divx-Videos can be displayed.
I have some recordings made with Terratec Cinema Home and I can play all videos except if they are bigger than 3GB on the disk.
I also deactived all plugins, but I cannot report any plugins.
....and by the way: I never got the MyPodcasts plugin working.... it´s really desperate! :-(
I know hat a little access. I installed MediaPortal on another system and there I was able to play videos. So, I compared the installed Video Codecs and realized that ffdshow didn´t work on my MediaPC. By googling, I found out, that the ffdshow located on sourceforge.net is often not working. Downloading it bei ffdshow.softonic.com helps.
The only thing is: I cannot play a file that has 3GB. The cpu goes to 100% and that´s it. On another other computer with similiar hardware it works fine. Any idea?
