Concerning the frist popup:

you have to install the dvb fix:

Concerning the second popup:

it's not there without a reason,
so installing an official version of a SP is strongly recommended

Excellent Flokel, sounds like you have the info. What is the reason for the dvbfix. Applying it to 0203 and RC2 allong with an update to WMP11 resulted in heaps of problems for me, and it would really be great to finally get the reason behind the requirements.

Also any idea why the MS update to enable 500GB avi files(Quartz.dll etc) is required as well? This one along with MP ripping out TSFileSource support from windows has caused major havoc on my desktop.

I also had no problems with XP SP2 with version that did not force the update. Do you have the list of dependencies on SP3?

Thanks for the reply, but I cannot find the info there? The link takes me to the same first post that has been there for ages. Can you please quote the section on exactly which functions of the old filters and library files that MP has issues with?

Sorry if it is obvious in the thread, but alll I see is the general info,
"issues, like crashes, when using MediaPortal with a dvb or atsc card."
The sentence states there are several bugs. That implies there are at least four identified issues for all users, but I cannot find them listed anywhere.

I just realized a fatal error on the system which in first place was mainly responsible for the TV serice not working: the USB-Driver of the mainboard wasn´t installted properly and therefoe only ran as USB 1.1.

So, I updated the driver and voila, MyTV worked really fine....


....until the next reboot: now I always get the error "No signal detected" and do not get anything. In some cases, it gets the signal (by the way, the signal itself is perfect - I´m always checkin on my TV).

Any idea what could be the reason for this?

The logfile doesn´t anything that helps me, except that there is suddenly a problem with the MYSQL server (how can I reinitiate the Mysql server)?

Is MP playing with me? Now I´m able to watch 10 out of 28 channels about.
Or might it be, that the usb stick gets hot and doesn´t work fine?

I just deinstalled Reclock (brings an error message when watching DVDs that mainboard is not supported) and ffdshow (can´t see any difference without).

I can now see some TV channels, but most not (e.g. ProSieben doesnt work).
