I was running MP .2 and wanted to try the stable patch to see if some of the bugs I'm having trouble with were fixed. I downloaded the patch an followed the instructions but when I try to open MP or Configure MP the CPU goes to 100% but nothing happens. I even uninstalled everything and started from scratch with the same result.

Am I doing something wrong?

very difficult to track the problem.
The best chance you've got is to reinstall completely MP, but make a backup of everything before you do.. just in case..
You've should have done that also before you did the upgrade..

I've learned it the hard way also.. (i did about 50 clean XP installs to get MP work 98%)

I did backup everything and when it didn't worked I also tried unistalling everything and satarting from scratch again. Didn't work either.
