MP got suddenly mute - Windows has sound (1 Viewer)

Sorry, I am new in this forum and I was Just wondering if I should have posted this audio/external player related questions in a different MP sub-forum...

For example, in the Codecs, External Players?

Those 3 players have a built in EQ and I wondor if their EQ could be used if the players are enabled in MP

Foobar has been removed (was based on a version from years ago). Winamp is broken (fixed in 1.2 beta).

Just to be sure I understand:

If an external player is used in MP, for example winamp in MP1.2. Will the additional audio dsp processing selected in winamp (for example the standard EQ and WASAPI support) affect the audio played from MP?

Selecting winamp as an external player will mean that the track will be played in winamp. So whatever you have setup in winamp will be used (it should be no different to playing the track in winamp itself)

Thanks, I get the idea!

I have downloaded MP 1.2. In the plugin section, I enabled winamp as external media player and I have entered ".flac" as extension.
In Winamp, I have enabled the EQ.

IF I understand well, when I play a file in MP, it should play it using the winamp's audio engine with its EQ settings.
However, it does not seem to work. How do i know the audio is being rooted to Winamp?

Hi again,

I did more tests:
- when FLAC is selected as an extension nothing happens at all
- when MP3 is selected, it launches WIMAMP but it does not play the file either

I fully undestand this is an alpha version, but whenever it works stable:
- Does Winamp have to be launched automatically? It looks messy with both MP and WIMAMP in the screen. Cannot Winamp be hidden in the background?
