MP Inbuilt VS External Player (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Just a question on my side, which is better to use for watching movies in MP, inbuilt video palyer or External (MP Classic, VLC,ZoomPlayer).

I have been playing around with the apps, and being a fan of VLC for sometime, whats the quality, resources intensive? comparisons between MP's inbuilt video player and the others mention above.

I have noticed that enabling OSD, the inbuilt player reports higher CPU utilization compared to the others?

I have been able to control the Media Player Classic with my MC remote, but i cannot seem to successfully set the other two apps, VLC and Zoom any help in performing this will be much appreciated as i have not decided which player to choose.

Reasons for the internal player:

1) Using the internal player allows your to stop playback and then continue from where you left off any time in the future.
2) Watched flags get set appropriately with internal player
3) Internal player configured with the right filters will give you equivalent quality as any external player, IMO.
4) OSD is awesome

+ 1 for inbuilt player. works better, less hassle. Check out SAF if you want a nice codec setup for it.

and as far as external players go, MPC-HC is higher quality than VLC.
