Hi there,

This is my hardware (simple list): Win XP Pro SP2, CPU Intel 3Ghz, RAM 1Gb, HD Serial Ata 200 Gb, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256Mb, Internal TV/Radio tuner ATI eHome Wonder.

First question:

I've got a problem with MP interface: I continuously see strange flashes and broken graphic visualizations while navigating MP.
Is it a problem due to my ATI drivers?

Second question:

I've got a Belkin USB-Irda (F5U235) dongle and an XBOX 360 Remote Controller (it's 100% compatible with Windows MCE).
Is it possible to use these components with MP?
If not I hope it's possible to use this remote controller with an other IR receiver, and if so, my question is which IR receiver I've to buy?

Thanks, Xamtur

I can't believe I'm the one and only having a problem as I described in the previous post.

Irda is for mobile phones and so on, they don`t work as a reciver for remote controls.

I bought the MCE remote and reciver, but I am prety shure you could by a reciver much much cheeper, and use hip or girder (software) and use any remote you want.

It was a topic on a norwegian forum on how to make your own reciver. It was cheep but cheeper to buy one.

I do not know where to by it.

About your graphic problem, I have 9600 pro and have no problem.
My driver version is 8.231.0.0

I have a Radeon 9600, as well, but I don't have the problems you describe. I had the Pro version, but replaced it for a standard passively cooled. Neither gave me those problems. I'm using Catalyst 6.3, but I tried the new 6.4 and they were fine, as well. Which skin are you using? Try with Blue2.

it sounds like you have tearing. Try enabling "Exclusive DirectX" in MP configuration.

For the remote, it's true, you can't use IrDA for remote controls (unless you are very lucky and have some sort of hardware that is dual purpose).
Just buy a Microsoft remote and reciever bundle. It's way cheap and will also work with your X-Box 360 remote.
