Multiple problems which seem to span multiple sub-fora.  Mods: please slap me on the wrist if it's inappropriate to put everything here in one post.  Perhaps I should be on the beta-testing forum?

General System info:

Athlon XP 2500+ / NForce2 mobo / 512MB DDR3200

2*80GB hdd on separate PCI ATA133 controller / 2 * DVD-RAM [one DVD-R DL] / 1 * 40x CDRW

Asus Videosuite 9520 [Nvidia FX5200 / MV34-based dual-DVI plus VIVO, video in drivers disabled, switching between dual analogue CRTs for work and CRT/TV for this testing, TV as primary display with MP]

M-Audio Revo 7.1 [into Logitech Z680 via SP/DIF and analogue]

AverMedia M150-D TV/FM tuner [OEM card ripped from Gateway box]

Windows XP Pro SP2

Nvidia Purevideo MPEG2 codec v1.02 b196

FFDShow 2006-02-03 [recent revisions have show vastly increased CPU usage here]

Submitted filter info for M150-D a few days ago, Daniel Martin replied "Fixed in latest SVN release" last night.

Tuner-related problems:

* MP generally works OK, but anything to do with the TV tuner is iffy.

* After reboot, first opening of MP gives working TV and FM tuning.

* Upon closing MP the 1st time, everything appears OK, threads close normally.

* Upon opening MP 2nd time, TV and FM tuning is dead.

* Upon closing MP 2nd time, thread locks and cannot be killed [forces reboot].  MP obviously cannot be reloaded at this point.

* Note that at any time in this process [when MP is not running, rather], TV tuning is still accessible through DScaler [which I would use if it supported audio from the M150-D, which it does not]

Multi-display-related problems:

* Accessing the web [such as by getting album info in Music view] causes full-screen display on primary device [TV here for my testing] to reset, MP then draws window the size of primary on secondary display at random location [but within the screen]

* Subsequent re-load forces "basic" mode for no apparent reason

Display-related:

* Visualisations, even if turned off, bring up the play icon at a fixed position which covers menus rather than being in skin's defined position
