I had this problem before, which is the main reason I decided to do a fresh install of XP and MP.

Unfortunately it's still not recording. I had set Merlin and Apocalypse: The Second World War scheduled to record tonight and neither of them have been recorded. In TV Server config I can see them still in the Schedules list.

This is a major problem so I hope we can sort it out soon.

then it never attempts to record

Yeah, I noticed that the logs don't show any attempt to record the second programme.

Not that it makes much difference whether it attempts, as with Merlin, or not, as the result is the same, no recording

Those two programmes are not showing in TV Server config Schedules any more.

I've posted about this before, I get endless recordings not recording, some problem with the conflicts manager. If you select the channel then it will start recording from that point. The routine that allocates which card will record seems problematic. I'm having to use bbc iplayer etc a lot these days as about 50% of recordings simply don't happen (xfactor failed tonight, so I missed the Matt 'The Voice' Cardell perform!!!! - (no comments please!). I have 4 cards so...

In fact practically nothing records any more, most recordings today just simply didn't happen, view the channel then the recording kicks ion but from that point! Often I get errors saying can't view live tv, try again then you can, I'm not sure what's going on, I know I need to revert back to 1.02 as that was a lot more stable. Hopefully mp2 will be out soon as mp1 is no longer usable for me.

I did a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate, on a different hd (80gb).
Did all updates to the os, installed latest drivers for the tv cards. etc.. etc..

Installed Mp 1.1.1, got the chanel's setup, and epg going. set a couple of things to get recorded on paytv and they did. Did the same with the free over the air.. programs wouldn't recored, untilI I went and watched that chanell.

I've now gone back to the stable (for me) 1.08 (1.0 RC3?) version/install.

Yep, I also have recording problems. Most of the time they are not started. After a recording should have started, tv is broken, which normally works perfectly...
Sometimes the rec icon shows up, but nothing is recorded. Sometimes a pc restart is needed, sometimes just a restart of tv server to get tv working again. This unreliable recording really is a major problem for me.
