I suggest you have a read in the wiki if you haven't done so already:

In my experience it pays to run the latest version of VCD/DT, and make sure you use the right drive type. The wiki says "vcd" for VCD - pretty logical. For DT I found I had to use "scsi".

OK I've just loaded the latest VCD (only a minor update) still no joy. I've been trying to download DT L but everywhere I go tries to download toolbars and adware, is there a safe and clean location someone can point me to?
