Hi Guys,

Ive installed Windows 7 X64 and MP on my HTPC, but i have a couple of problems that i hope some on you can help me with.

MP often crashes when i try to play files via MP TV Series, even dough the file is fine.
And when i get something to play the mouse appears on the screen every couple of minutes, even dough i enabled the function "Always keep Mediaportal on top" - ?

Thats my problems :) Anyone who has some idea's?

SETUP:
Mediaportal 1.0.2
Newest MP TV Series, and all other plugins.
I have CoreAVC codec for x264 playback, and ffdshow for all the other stuff (i have tried changing the codec settings, but no dice)
:D

I think you need to use the 1.1 beta for mediaportal to work correctly with windows 7. At least I am using the 1.1 beta + latest SVN snapshot with windows 7 x64 ultimate without any problems

    Hi,

I have found the 1.1 beta but how do we install the "latest SVN snapshot " what is that means ?

Beause I'm trying to install MP 1.1 beta on a windows 7 x64.
The MP installer stop because of "no internet connection found" !
Internet connection is connected ! (IE or others application are working well with internet).
    ?
I was thinking about a firewall problem and I deactivated my windows firewall but no more success.... still "no Internet Connection" with the MP installer... :(

thanks in advance for your help.

I have no idea what snapshot means, but I find this quote on another site:

"Those copies are called 'snapshots' because they contain a snapshot of the current development status."

I use the latest beta (1.1) with Windows 7 64 bit, without additional software installed.
Were does the installation stop? You can choose the option to first download all the files (if it doesnt stop before that). Maybe it will use the Internet then.
Myself I got some problems with some download files. Some of the files the setup was searching for weren't available anymore. So I had to search for them on the internet and put them manually in the download folder. This will probably be your next problem. First you have to get the connection to work. Do you run the install as an administrator? (right muisklik on .exe, run as administrator)

AW: MP on Windows 7 x64 - problems.

    Hi.
    SVN: click here
I'm using REV 24669 (from 2010/8/1) as this Version is rock solid and lightning fast on my Win 7 x64 System...
Both newer versions didn't run that stable (on my system).

You can install the SVN snapshots just over an existing MePo 1.1 Beta installation. The installer will keep your current settings and create a backup for you so you can switch back easily...

    Hi !
Thank you for your answers !
It is encouraging that you can use Mediaportal with your windows 7. Sure, I should find a solution for mine !

Photopeter, now, I understand what are SVN snapshots. I have found the post. I will use it as soon as the MP install will work.

Wizzing, I will try your advice next week.
I will come back to confirm the result.
    Thanks.

    Hi Wizzing,

Internet Connection not found appears even for "first download all the files".
I have stopped my firewall, stopped my antivirus.... still connection not found.
even if connection is really ok with IE or others applications.

    I'm lost...

I have fixed the problem !

According to another post I have found, I uninstalled my antivirus (AVIRA ANTIVIR) and it works !
    seems strange....

    Now Mediaportal is installed !
    I will configure MP,
    reinstall antivir
and check if mediaportal can access to internet....

    keep in touch....
