Hello,
I'm thinking about creating a new plug-in for video transcoding using MCE Buddy on command line or calling ffmpeg directly. MCE Buddy would have the advantage to delete commercials also whereas ffmpeg does transcoding only. Currently I use batch files to transcode all TS-files in a directory but still have some issues with some videos with interlacing. Need to find out the correct options for all kinds of streams.
What would the requirements look like and where would you like to see the options? Integrated in the MP GUI or in the Config GUI?

I have one folder for recordings and move the files from time to time to specific folders like sports, movies, series, documentation... which means i like to keep the records and would like to transcode it.

Suggestion:
Configure folders to transcode
Options:

- quality option likewise MCE Buddy profiles
- include subfolders
- exclude/include by file name pattern

Is it required to configure when transcoding is performed? Immediately after a new file appears in a folder or to a certain time when the machine idles?

What are your expectations for a new plug-in? What is important and what is nice to have?
