MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0
MediaPortal Skin: Blue 3
Windows Version: XP SP3
I have a standard MCE remote and use the MCE remote support built into Mediaportal. All buttons work just fine and I have no problems EXCEPT Mediaportal always responds to the MCE Remote even when it does not have focus. There are no options under Configuration - Remote - Microsoft MCE to affect whether the remote is actioned when MP does not have focus.
The Generic HID tab has a button to select 'Support input even if MP is in background' which sets the entry 'HIDGlobal' in Mediaportal.xml - default = no - but I can find no entry to affect the actions of the MCE remote (even tried setting up an entry MCEGlobal=no, but no luck).
I use Autohotkey to receive the HID input from the MCE remote to switch between MP and other apps running on the PC and to control MP and the other apps, but when MP does not have focus it stills responds to the HID input from the MCE remote.
So, I either need a way to select when MP responds to the HID input or for MP to not respond to the HID input when MP is in the background. As I have invested quite some time in setting up the Autohotkey arrangement I don't really want to change to using Eventghost, Girder etc. I could turn off MCE HID support in MP and get Autohotkey to generate keyboard input for MP but this would be a backward step as MP handles the HID input very well - I just cannot find a way to tell it to ignore it temporarily while other apps are running. Any ideas ?
