If you run setup while MediaPortal is minimised to tray it doesn't restart MediaPortal it just hides the tray icon.
1) run MediaPortal Setup and set 'Minimise to tray on GUI exit' = on
3) run media portal
4) press close so it minimises to tray
6) change some value in MediaPortal setup back and forth, then press OK
7) You are prompted "For changes to take effect you need to restart MediaPortal, restart now?"
8) Hit Yes
9) The MediaPortal tray icon now vanishes so MediaPortal cannot now be reached and has to be force closed from the task manager.
Alternatively You can re-run MediaPortal which will not re-run but will add the tray icon back for the current lost one. Watching in Task Manager MediaPortal does not actually appear to have been closed at all as it's process doesn't ever go.
