[QUOTE="ezertuchev, post: 101824, member: 28681"] My motherboard has 5.1 sound outputs for connecting with a home theater. I hadn't configured this until today, and with a DVD player it works great. But then I tried to configure MP to deliver 5.1 sound, and it reboots or shuts down my PC when I try to watch a DVD or a video stored on the HDD. What I did was the following: I opened MP setup I went to Decoder Filters Under MPA Decoder, I selected "3 Front + 2 Rear" in Decode to Speakers, both in AC3 and in DTS Decoder Settings. Then to DScaler Audio Decoder and selected 5.1 on speaker config. When I try to play a movie, I get a blue error message (similar to those on Win98) that says tyat if this is the first time this has happened, I must reboot, or if this has happened before, I should check a bunch of things on my computer. This didn't happen before I configured it this way. What am I doing wrong?? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
