Since installing the latest SVN I've seen a problem where MP will wakeup to perform an EPG grab or to record a program but before the recording starts or the grab is complete MP suspends itself. I have no external apps which cause a suspend and my system is set to be always on (no suspend for power reasons). Also previous (recent) versions of MP with the same configuration did not have this problem.

The log file shows a normal WebEPG wakeup. Then the following
    007-01-10 07:02:37.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: - Recorder.IsAnyCardRecording() = False
    2007-01-10 07:02:37.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: - Recorder.IsRadio() = False
    2007-01-10 07:02:37.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: - g_Player.Playing = False
    2007-01-10 07:02:37.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: - Database Update = True

    2007-01-10 07:02:47.890625 [Info.][MPMain]: Main: WM_POWERBROADCAST: 0
2007-01-10 07:02:47.890625 [Info.][MPMain]: Main: Windows is requesting hibernate mode
    2007-01-10 07:02:47.890625 [Info.][MPMain]: Main: Stopping playback
    2007-01-10 07:02:47.890625 [Info.][MPMain]: Main: Stopping recorder
    2007-01-10 07:02:47.890625 [Info.][MPMain]: Recorder: stop

As you can see MP should not shutdon until 7:05 and is still importing the EPG data. Then out of the blue it gets a suspend request. NOTE This problem does not seem to happen every time that a wakeup occurs. But I have now seen it 3 times. Each time was after a scheduled wakeup and on two of the times a recording was missed because of it.

EDIT: Looking at the logs for the following report:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=14171
My problem seems to be the same. Again I do not have anything in my system that would normally cause a suspend. The only time my system is suspended is either from the remote or from PowerSchedule. I've only seen this problem since updating to this svn. My system was previously using SVN Build 12527 (05.01.2007 / 16:25 CET) and seemed to operate with no problems.

    Thanks

A quick update on this. I've been looking back over the log files from previous svn installs and I was wrong the same problem seems to exist in 12527. So far I have not been able to find it in my logs prior to this, but I'm still looking.

    Hi,
There are one more report located here, so in some systems it can be problems

Testing this @ moment with several shows using MP 0.2.2.0 + Rev12597(private build).
    & the following PS setups:
    - ShutDownInterval = 5
    - ShutDownMode = suspend (normally using Hibernate)
    - ForceShutDown = False
    - TimerInterval = 30
    - WakeUpInterval = 2 (1 minute here have caused probs before)
    - ReinitRecorder = False (I don't use this since default it's working fine)

btw, I saw in your log that:
WebEPGGrabber.Run: grabber finished:10/01/2007 07:00:43, so it did finish or, (but it should have waited to 07:05 before shutdown)?

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi guys,

after the first look I must say that this shut down is not initiated by PowerScheduler, because when PowerScheduler is shutting down the system you will see something like:

PowerScheduler: Hibernate system -> WakeUp at 11.01.07 07:30

    in the log.

But I will have a closer look together with ronilse.

Thanks Bavarian for having another look at this problem. As mentioned by Andy the problems do look very similar and I too don't have any outside applications that are set to hibernate the PC.

as mentioned before I've got around hte problem by wakingup 1 minute before starting the recoding and WebEPG runs and completes for me in the time before Powerscheduler put the machine into hibernate.

Ok, have added some logs in all MP shut down calls.
Can you please retest and post once again the log?

Please also switch on remote logging.

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for taking a look at this...

Ron: Yes you are correct the WebEPG grab has completed, but the epg import has not, so not all of the programs get loaded.

Baverian Thanks I'll grab an updated svn and try it later. Not sure how long it will take because it does not always happen! But I will be trying!

All: I think setting the system to wakeup only 1 minute before will probably hide the problem because the suspends always seems to happen approx 2 minutes after the resume. With a 1 minute wakeup I think the recorder will have already started and I noticed that there is code to reject a suspend request if any recorders are active.

    Thanks again

    Andy

    Hi,
Here is another log file. Problem is I'm not 100% sure if the new logging was actually in this build. You may be able to tell. I have turned on remote logging as well.... This time the import had finished but only just! But as you can see from the log mp still shut down early.

    Hi Guys,
Here is another log file. This time with a slightly later build so I sure the new logging should have been in it. I'm not sure what build it is though because for some odd reason the log file does not show an svn number it does have
Main: Assembly creation time: 11/01/2007 20:11:04 (UTC)
Though so maybe you can make some sense of it.

Anyway this log shows even more odd things. This time mp woke up to record a program, the program was recorded correctly but then mp suspended what seems to be 4 minutes early and the suspend does not seem to be as a result of PowerScheduler! I have no idea what is going on here. Take a look at the events around 9:02 to see what I mean....
