Client computers in the same IP range connect ok to the server. I also tried MP TV Client and this also works fine on same IP range computers. Now i have a couple of laptop's that i wanted to connect as well but i am having difficulties. They are connected thru a WIFI Router and work in the 90.0.0.* IP range. I have told the firewall of the router to forward the following ports. 31456 554 1433 1434 6970-6999 To IP 10.0.0.2 (TV-Server adress) When using mediaportal it takes forever to load and freeze for a long time when attempting to watch television and i therefor tried with MP TV Client as i read that it would give me alot more info and i can tell you it did. After trying to connect forever it finally gave up and gave me a whole screenfull of text It seems that the important part of the error box talks about an error 26 and the possibility that the SQL database might not allow "outside" connections but i have been unable to find any such settings in the SQL settings program. I use the default SQL database from the installer and i have made changes to the gentle file. I tried moving the whole directory to a 10.0.0.* machine and it connects good there so i guess that it should work. Anyone else seen anything similar, i have used search and sadly i noone in the same situation. mce_user [/QUOTE]
