    *Using EVR*

Very simple... When I start playing any movie which uses CoreAVC codec, Windows taskbar appears and MP goes to background (not minimize, just go to background, I can see fullscreen movie with taskbar on the bottom). This happens ONLY with last CoreAVC 1.8.5.0. I have downgraded to 1.8.0.0, and it does not happen.

Mmm... I should go to CoreAVC forums instead :p. Just to warn you about this...

    bye!

Go into the CoreAVC options and uncheck 'Use Tray Icon' to see if this fixes the issue as it may give focus back. Let me know if it works.

Ei! Glad to see you here. :)

This option was disabled by default I think... so no icon appears. I tried also enabling... no luck. Disabling again... no luck again.

    bye!

    PD: Tremendous codec, yours. Congratulations.

This happens for me if I play H264-avi files. If I play H264-mkv this won't happen (CoreAVC). Using ffdshow as H264-decoder all is running fine.

A Workaround is to enable "keep mediaportal allways on top" in MP Config, i have the same issue with CoreAVC185.

You're right. Anyway, taskbar shows for a second... that's a little bit ugly. :)

Yup, same thing happened to me. Can someone tell me the method to downgrade to 1.8.0? I upgraded mine from 1.7.0 straight to 1.8.5.

I can't find the download archives in Corecodec. Thanks.

EDIT: Nvm, turned out my bought version was the 1.8, so I downgraded by reinstalling that. And everything's back to normal. I hope Corecodec will fix the bug asap.

Just note that in new 1.9.0, if you don't use "show tray icon", bug is not present (otherwise taskbar keeps showing and sending MP to background, though).

Anyway, thank you CoreAVC developer(s) (and also for CUDA support... :p ).

    bye!

    Hi BetaBoy,

Maybe this is not the appropriate place to this question but…
As far as I know CoreAVC don’t use any kind of hardware acceleration (NVIDIA PureVideo or ATI Avivo HD).
Are you planning to support any or both of these technology features?
    Thanks!
