Well, its listing your videos and the thumbnails it is creating, so that's good. That means its working for the most part. This new error seems to be when it reaches one of your videos that has the word "Toughest" in it. There's something about that episode filename it doesn't like. I would need the error translated and/or the full filename that I'm referring to in order to understand further.

On a side note, you might want to download version 0.76. I have included a checkbox that disables a feature that I've heard causes problems generating thumbnails in non-English versions of Windows.

Even with 0.76 with the new option Checked/Unchecked I get this error.
The files which I have with the Toughest in it are on another disc in a directory called "Vinnie Jones Toughest Cops" and the files are named "vinnie.jones.toughest.cops.s01e01.colombia.dvdrip.xvid-nosegment.avi" et cetera.

In the actual read-out, after you click update, does it list these videos? If so, please let me know exactly what it says for them. It seems to be having trouble with the folder name, since that's the only part that has "Toughest" capitalized. I need to find out why its having trouble with that.

Well, I click update, then the program is busy for less then a second and then the list appears but at the same instant the error appears.

But look at what is says in the list. There's an apostrophe in the filename as it seams!

As stupid as it sounds, that's EXACTLY what it is, and I thank you for finding it. I just tested throwing an apostrophe into one of my thumb names, and sure enough, it didn't like it all too much. What I have done, since it looks like the one with an apostrophe is a thetvdb downloaded thumb, is make the program skip those entirely. What it was trying to do is re-write what it finds back to the database, and its having trouble doing that. The new version is available at http://mptvthumbupdater.googlecode.com/files/MPTVThumbUpdater0.78.zip.

Glad to help ;)
I now get past the apostrophe error. However it immediately gives a new one: they just keep coming. This was using 0.78 you uploaded.

I know this might be kinda vague, but this looks like the same error, just in something else. Do you see an apostrophe or any other odd character near a lowercase "t" in any of the fields?

I wish that was helpful, but it doesn't quite tell me where the error happened, just that it happened. All I have to go by is that its having trouble with something near a "t". Maybe there's a contraction in a filename or thumbnail path, such as "don't" or "won't"?
